Goals

Goals rewrites supplied intentions into measurable commitments, audits goal sets, and prepares a Quarterly Planning Handoff without inventing fields or selecting quarterly bets.

A useful goal connects a broad objective to an observable result, accountable owner, due date, and source of truth. Missing baselines, targets, metrics, units, owners, dates, results, priorities, and evidence do not become reasonable defaults. They stay visible as decisions or inputs still needed.

Quarterly portfolio selection remains human-owned. This playbook organizes supplied objectives, candidates, evidence, uncertainty, constraints, dependencies, criteria, owners, dates, and decision questions without selecting, ranking, recommending, approving, or estimating upside. An already authorized decision is copied exactly and converted without reopening it.

STEP 01Lock the objective and supplied commitments

Record the original intention, objective, reason, horizon, constraints, owner, measure, unit, baseline, target, due date, source of truth, and review cadence exactly as supplied. Do not change a number, deadline, owner, priority, or source to make the goal look complete.

STEP 02Expose gaps and design measurement

STEP 04Preserve authorized decisions and review status
